PRODUCT-SPECIFIC FAQs

 1. What makes your Ooni Ovens unique?

Ooni pizza ovens heat up in just 15 minutes to over 950˚F, which is the temperature you need to make the ultimate pizza - a crust crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. At those intense temperatures, you can cook incredible pizza at home in just 60 seconds.

2. What do the Ooni Ovens come with?

Our ovens come with a cordierite pizza baking stone, a 3-year product warranty when your Ooni is registered, and a user manual with tips and recipes.

3. What accessories do I need?

The ovens come with a pizza baking stone already, however, you will need to purchase a hose and regulator before you can get the oven started (we do not sell these, but they are readily available in hardware stores or home depots). We recommend getting a pizza peel to help launch and turn your pizzas, a cast iron pan if you'd like to try out other dishes in the oven apart from pizza, and a thermometer to accurately tell the temperature of your oven when cooking! Lucky enough, we have accessory bundles available that have all those at a cheaper bundle price.

4. Koda 12 vs Koda 16

Both Koda 12 and 16 are gas-fueled. The Koda is lightweight and portable, weighs 10kg, and can cook pizzas up to 12 inches wide. The Koda 16 is bigger and weighs 18kg and can cook pizzas up to 16 inches wide. It also has more room to create your other creative ideas with steaks, vegetables, and the like! The Koda 16 also has an L-shaped burner; however, the cooking time for pizzas in both ovens is still 60 seconds.

5. Karu 12 vs Karu 16

The Karu 12 is the smaller version of the Karu 16. Karu 12 can cook pizzas up to 12 inches while the Karu 16 up to 16 inches. They also have enough room to cook other foods such as meats and vegetables.

6. Koda models vs Karu models

The main difference between Koda and Karu is the energy source. Our Koda models are purely gas-powered. On the other hand, our Karu can use both wood/charcoal and gas, but do note that the gas burner accessory must be purchased before you can use gas for this oven! These two models come in their own 2 different sizes (12” and 16”)

7. How long does it take to heat up my oven?

Our Ooni ovens take about 20 minutes to preheat to at least 450°C. You can check this out with your Ooni Infrared Thermometer to accurately cook your foods at the right temperatures.

8. How do I take care of my baking stone?

  • Avoid putting cold food or dough on a hot stone
  • Do not heat up a damp stone
  • Do not heat your stone over 500°C
  • Do not put your cold pizza stone into a hot oven
  • Handle your pizza stone with care
  • Never wash your baking stone or leave it in the water
  • Let your stone cool down before taking it out of the oven

9. Can we use this oven indoors?

The Ooni Pizza Ovens are for outdoor use only.

10. Do they come with a warranty?

All Ooni products come with a 1-year warranty as standard, and we’ll extend that to a 3-year warranty on Ooni pizza ovens when you register your pizza oven with us within 60 days of receipt. Don't forget to register your product under Singapore!

More details on the warranty can be found on:

11. Which should I get for commercial use?

A number of small pizzerias in the Philippines are very happy with their own Ooni Pizza Ovens. For more information, you may contact us at contact@ovendepot.sg.

12. What is the difference between your pizza peels?

Our flat and perforated peels work great as launching and turning peel as they are smooth, and lightweight. The perforations create a perfectly cooked crust as the steam is able to evaporate and the excess flour is able to fall away from the base.
The turning peel is specifically helpful to turn your pizzas in the oven with ease.
The bamboo peel works great as a launching peel and can double up as a beautiful serving board as well!

13. Where can I get gas hose and regulator?

Our ovens do not come with the hose and regulator, however, these are available at your nearest hardware stores or home depots! :) We do not have a brand preference, as long as it is compatible with your LPG tank.
